Back Pain

Approximately 8 out of 10 Americans will experience back pain at some point in their lives. The back is a made up of bones, joints, ligaments and muscles. You can sprain ligaments, strain muscles, rupture disks, and irritate joints, all of which can lead to back pain. The causes of back pain can include accidents, muscle strains, sports injuries. Back pain can also be attributed to a specific condition of the spine such as herniated discs or spinal stenosis. Poor posture, arthritis, weight and stress can contribute to back pain.                                                                 Chiropractors help to restore proper alignment to your spine, relieving pressure on your nervous system. Correction of your misalignments called "subluxations" in your spine result in positive outcomes for both acute and chronic low pain. Once under control, your chiropractor can help you with preventative strategies by addressing your lifestyle and environment.

At Drobbin Chiropractic, patients can expect an initial assessment and physical exam. This will include testing your spinal mobility (how well your spine moves). We may take X-rays to help determine the source and other issues that might be adding to your back pain. Treatments can include spinal manipulation, traction, massage or other modalities..
